How to calibrate the lambda probe.
|
Lambda probe is connected to the general pourpose four pin connector on SP1 or SP3 unit. This connector has the following connection diagram:

SP1 or SP3 measure this input as a number from 0 to 1023, when the input voltage varies from 0 to 5 volt. In order to setup the channel data on the program, the next calculation should be done:
So, the value for 5 volt input will be: 5 / 1023 = 0.004887 |
This input is designed as a general purpose analog input, from 0 to 5 volt, and the input inpedance is 20 Kohm, but for lambda probe application, it may be better if it is modified by removing an internal resistor from the unit, please see picture.
When removing this resistor, the input is converted into a 0 - 2.5 volt input, and the input inpedance will be higher (Mega-ohms).
And the scale value will be: 2.5 / 1023 = 0.002443
